Hi! I’m Nathan Furton, a Maryland-based illustrator creating playful, character-driven worlds with humor, warmth, and emotional sincerity.
My work focuses on expressive characters, immersive environments, bold color, texture, and personality. I’m especially drawn to stories centered around curiosity, play, and wonder, often blending imaginative ideas with grounded emotional moments.
I’m currently pursuing a BFA in Illustration at Towson University, where I’m developing original picture book projects and strengthening my voice as a visual storyteller. My picture book project, Bengie’s Bubble, received a Towson University Art Department scholarship award, and my painting Four Doors Down won First Place in the Public Artists category at Art on the Avenue during Paint Annapolis.
